Contraception

Help anyone please! I’ve spoken to my gp about contraception methods and they suggested one more specifically but I’m not sure. My boyfriend is against the one I was recommend and I was/am nervous to thr idea of it. What should I do? I don’t want to really have to talk to my parents about this because they are completely against it however my boyfriend and I are ready for this next step. What do you suggest I do?

    Hi Netballer,

It’s so great that you & your boyfriend are being responsible & open to talking about contraception!

When it comes to contraception, there are quite a few different options & not all of them may be suitable for you. So it’s always best to listen to your GP, they are the experts! There’s no harm in getting more information about the different types before you make a decision. It might help you to feel less nervous too!

It’s your body, so ultimately the decision is yours. Maybe ask why your boyfriend is against this specific option.
