His Parents Don’t Like Me…

I really really like this boy. In the fall, he was supposed to be my homecoming date, but then his mom ended up finding out I smoked weed and said he wasn’t allowed to go with or talk to me anymore. A month after that I ended deciding to stop smoking and drinking and have become a much better person. We started talking again, and he makes me so happy, but I never get to see him because he has to be so careful about his parents. His parents somehow found out we were talking again and got mad and wouldn’t listen to his side, so I told him if it would help, I could talk to his parents, but he said that even if I did they would know he was still talking to me and that he would get in trouble regardless. We’re trying to figure out a way to make his parents come around but can’t think of anything. Any ideas?

Wow, I’m so happy for you that you decided to stop smoking and drinking! ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s amazing! So, this is a tricky situation. The best advice I could give you is to maybe write a letter to them? I don’t know, but if they’re not willing to listen to you, or even see you talk to him, you should take the time to write a handwritten and detailed letter explaining why you love him, what you will do, and everything you think they would want to know. You could also talk to your parents about it, that way, they could maybe talk to his parents? I don’t know, maybe it would help if adults talked to each other, instead of another combination? Also, if you happen to see his parents, make sure to be friendly, and smile, haha! ๐Ÿ™‚ This is a hard dilemma, but basically, you should try to communicate with them through a letter, that way they might be more willing to hear your thoughts, and remember to be nice! ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck!
