Hi guys,

so today i finally used tampons yay.every period i HATE HATE HATE because of the gross feeling of the blood gushing out of me, and the constant disgusting soggy pads. but i was honestly so so scared and nervous to try tampons that i never did till now… i used mini tampons, laid down on my back in front of my mirrors, and took a deep breath in and gently slid the tampon up. it honestly didnt hurt (and this is coming from someone who is terrified of tampons), i havent taken it out yet so hopefully that will be ok. if your thinking of using tampons but your too scared, please try it will change your life. just think what the worst thing that will happen.

also can i cut the sting shorter??

love lots x

Hey Stargazer 1, YAY congratulations. Tampons are a great alternative if you don’t like the feeling of pads when you have your period. Our new ‘Libra Girl’ tampons are perfect for the first few times you try tampons, if you haven’t you should give them a go. They are smaller, with the same absorbency as regular tampons, with a tapered tip for easy insertion. I wouldn’t recommend cutting the string shorter, just so you are sure to be able to remove the tampon easily after a few hours.

You probably shouldn’t cut the string, it has a loop so it’s easier to remove.
