Hi Gemmah, This is quite a long story. There is a boy at school. I have liked him since Grade 4. At the start of this year, he told me that he liked me as well. For about 2 days, I was so happy. Then, one of his friends told me that he had said some offensive and inappropriate things about me and my body. As soon as he found out about this, he swore that he didn’t say these things and that he was really sorry for any hurt he had caused me. (Don’t worry, I’m feeling fine about it now.) Needless to say, I told him that I wasn’t interested anymore. A few months later, he told us that he liked one of my best friends. I was super happy for her- I fooled myself into thinking that I didn’t like him anymore. Him and my friend have been together for a while now, and they have even kissed. But now, I’m not so sure if I really am over him. He is moving to another country at the end of the year, so I probably won’t see him again. I don’t know if I should tell him how I feel, tell my friend, or keep it quiet! Please send help and Tim Tams
YASSS queen! I love that you stuck up for yourself after finding out about the rude things that may or may not have been said. This is so important! If he did say them, then that’s totally not okay & I hope he’s learnt his lesson!
Wow, why did he have to like your friend? It can be really hard watching someone you have feelings for move on with someone else, even harder when you also have a relationship with that person.
As he’s leaving the country, I think it might be a good idea to keep this little secret to yourself. You don’t want to complicate things & you definitely don’t want to risk losing your friend over a boy. I’m sure she’d be upset if you told the guy she’s with that you like him.
Like the saying goes, there’s plenty more fish in the sea. Who knows? There may even be a guy waiting for you to notice him. Heartache heals with time, but Tim Tams can absolutely help speed the process along!
