20 Years Misdiagnosed

I was told for about 20 years that it was just period pain & irritable bowel syndrome. 20 years of horrible period pain, heavy periods, diarrhoea & bloating. My endometriosis was discovered by chance when I had a hysterectomy for a fibroid. It was on my bladder, bowel, ureter, the pouch of Douglas & other places. I now live in pain every day, I’m seeing a pain specialist, on many medications & will probably need more surgery in the near future. I wish there was more awareness of endometriosis so my life wasn’t ruined.
