Can I get pregnant during my period?
In short, yes you can! Whilst it’s definitely less common than other stages of your period cycle, it is possible to get pregnant when you are on your period.
If you’re sexually active and don’t want to become pregnant, you should always use contraception – regardless of where you are in your period cycle.. Ladies, best practice is two forms of contraception; condoms to protect against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and a hormonal contraception such as the pill or implant to more reliably guard against pregnancy.
